Le groupe tant aimé des annés 60 J.B. and The Playboys sont de retour et vont offrir des spectacles avec un mix dynamique de leurs hits originaux ainsi que les chansons qui les ont influencés au fil des ans.
AVANT (1963)
Ils étaient les rois de la scène rock à Montréal et ont joué partout à travers le Canada. Ils ont même ouvert pour des grands noms comme les Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, Charlebois, The Byrds, The Dave Clarck Five et de nombreux autres artistes de renom.
En mai 1965, le groupe avait leurs chansons en 15ieme, 28ieme et 53ieme place dans le top 60 - partageant cet honneur avec les Beatles, Marvin Gaye, Chubby Checker, Petula Clarck et Elvis.
MAINTENANT (2023)
J.B. and The Playboys retourne en scène avec les membres fondateurs Allan Nichols (vocals), Bill Hill (guitar). Ils sont joint de R.D. Harris sur la batterie, Stuart Patterson à la basse et Ron Stutz sur guitare.
Ils sont plus que prêts de livrer leur marchandise du passé au présent à tous groupes d'âge.
JB AND THE PLAYBOYS ARE BACK – 60 YEARS LATER!
Montreal’s beloved ’60s-era band “JB and The Playboys” are back and will be performing shows featuring a dynamic mix of their original hits as well as the rhythm-and-blues songs that influenced them.
THEN (1963)
Kings of the Montreal rock scene throughout the 1960s, JB and The Playboys toured Canada, headlining their own sold-out concerts, and opening for The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, Robert Charlebois, The Byrds, The Dave Clark Five, and dozens of other major acts.
By May 14,1965 the band had songs at #15 #28 #53 on the top 60 charts – sharing that honor with The Beatles, The Searchers, Marvin Gaye, Chubby Checker, Petula Clark and Elvis.
NOW (2023)
J.B. and the Playboys return to the stage with founders Allan Nicholls (vocals) and Bill Hill (lead guitarist) Joining them are r.d. harris on drums, Stuart Patterson on bass, and Ron Stuz on guitar. They are more than ready, willing, and able, to bring their musical past and present to audiences everywhere.
In 2020, Justin Time Records rereleased the 1965 JB and The Playboys’ album with so many of their vintage singles!
